Detoxed 7-22-2008

I'd fasted from all my worldly music for 3 weeks and on the 3rd sunday, July 22, 2008 I'd recieved the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. Last night, the 22nd, I was lead to rid myself of the music and take another step closer to my uncompromised walk with Christ. Sort of a "can't serve 2 masters" type of a thing. Obedience is sacrifice!

I COMPLETELY feel you on this on. I recently fasted from music for about 2-3 weeks as well. I actually deleted my music first then began fasting though. HAd to be at least 40-45 gigabytes, probably at least 10,000 songs. God really showed me that I didnt need music as much as I thought I did. Hope u stay wit it n keep lovin Christ. yeah fam...it was hard at first but now I almost don't even miss it. It's so good to not have to constantly feel convicted knowing what I was listening to was killing me spirtually. But we all know The Lord always replaces what He removes and I've been turned onto so many other Godly artist to replace the worldly...God is good. Amen! Congrats for taking the steps of humbling yourself before God. Some cool people to add to the holy hip hop collection is shai linne and stephen the levite. I think you will appreciate their style. They have the east coast/conscious hip hop feel. Similar to little brother, mos, and common. They are very scripturally sound also. Their lyrics are very good, it can cut, all out of love though. Be encouraged, and dont lose heart. God bless.
