I had the great pleasure of working with Mr. and Mrs. Fanshawe When my college performed "African Sanctus" in the Spring of 2010. This show is amazing live and even though we ran that show for 3 weeks I got chills and cried just about every night. Mr. Fanshawe was a wonderful man and a perfect gentleman, God rest his soul.
Travelling in East Africa -76 i heard of a person who had travelled around with his taperecorder among some of the tribes that I met, later I found out his name was David Fenshaw.
I thougt i was the only one who had heard this music, I still have his LP African Sanctus somewhere, but now i see I was totally wrong.
A great traveller he was, when I here some of his music I´m still back in a muddy hut i Ethiopia, with the rain pouring down.
A snippet from a truly great musical talent, taken away so long, before his due time ! I really wish this was reedited to iinclude the full Sanctus, as performed impeccably, similar to the original recording, and minus the ` add - ons` Yes, I have the original African Sanctus, plus ` Revisited ` versions, plus all the other muisic scores he did, personally marked by him`. David Arthur, we will meet someday, my friend! We have so much to talk about!
this is corny.

I'm sorry, having been a part of a performance of this, I HAVE to say, it is the COOLEST religious piece EVER COMPOSED.
