His guitar playing is so amazing, one of my favorites.....his voice really great too, I dont think he's credited enough for his voice

EC is the man, that is not talent, it's EC being EC. The first time he picked up a guitar five people laid their's down! Because nobody can touch him, he really is GOD!

@cerebralparsley Pure speculation & hot air. How about, " He just happens to like the 335 for this song and a few others". Over analysis sucks!

Best version of this song I've heard is by Rory Gallagher.

@Hector3251.... don't be such an ignorant fuck. in 72 clapton was far from his peak... he was a year removed from music in a drug haze... and as far as the stones he never got along very well with Jagger. cocaine has never been considered a blues song, ask the writer, jj Cale, a good ol' country boy... don't rush to a judgement that is based on pure ignorance and misinformation.. yes i love Rory and he was great but he also was raw, one dimensional and never reached his full potential

To the one asshole that can't appreciate Clapton and the great music he creates. Is it lonely in your sad little existence?

it's Andy Newmark

Hey is that Rahm Emanuel playing the drum kit?
Awesome tone, as much as i like Clapton he always sounds better with Gibsons.

I think that's cos Gibsons have a better tone for blues than Fenders (the power provided by their lovely range of humbuckers). I think, however, that Fenders (Strats in particular) are a more versatile choice for playing a variety of styles (rock, jazz, funk, country etc.)
