My husband just showed me this! Coming from a wife of a VM.... AMAZING!!! We, as the significant others, also struggle to explain what the hell you all do! (but we know you love it) :-) This is soooo funny!!! Loved it!! And yes, you do have flare... Just know there are people out there that DO understand what you do (who don't work in fashion) and we appreciate it! :-)

I'm a current advertising major graduate and want to get into visual merchandising because I have always been more interested in being creative and fashion. Without any experience, is there a chance I can work as a VM?

@m3lanch0lic not necessarily right away. i became a VM after a year in the field as an asst merchandiser. your best place to start with no experience is like a department store or something and move up. you can get a job in this field with no formal education but i would say you need work experience then.
