This video gives a guide to putting together tessellations. It works on the example of "Bricks" by Ilan Garibi, and a variation of mine, which I'll call "Big Bricks". Ilan Garibi kindly gave me permission to make this video accessible to you.

  • I don't know where to purchase tant/elephant hide, but I do now that they sell small thick squares of paper at office stores like staples. Would that work if I taped the squares together?

  • @Oridom66 You can try taping smaller sheets of paper together, yes.

  • whre r u originally from AdamsSara?

  • @theorigamiman55 Germany.

  • real elaphant hide?

  • @death5409 No, it's a paper produced by Zanders. It's very strong and comes in several shades of gray - perhaps that's why they called it elephant hide.

  • you have made a really good video and also you have given some good insight in tessellations. and i made it .. :D

  • I designed a model that is similar to this I call maze of 9 cubes or maze of 36 cubes, depending on the size of the grid you use. It basically looks like this model upside down, but with the squares closer together.

  • Its a Flasher!

  • @apatel98 no

  • Wait. is this modular?????

  • Reminds me of jeremy shafers flasher tesselation

  • @AdamsSara Would it still be effective with tissue foil? Or would there be too much of a risk of tearing it if you prescore?
