Just a typical Japanese Taxi... however it would be untypical for the US as not only is the car clean and neat, but so it the driver! (who is also courteous, knowledgeable and respectful -yes, such cars and drivers can also be found in the US, I know, but it's not as common as in Japan, and unless you've lived in both places, then just pay attention and learn something new)

Thank You!I lived there as a child and in my career as an American taxi driver I often reflected on this problem and how to fix it.You would have loved riding in my taxi. I gave it the Japanese White Glove treatment.More as an Independant Owner Operator than whenever I had to pay cab rent to a taxi leasing company.The only workable solution seems to be an honest hourly wage or salary for company drivers.The company then takes the management responsibility.Exploiting drivers never works.
