I don't think Prince's version and this version should even be compared. 1) Prince's version will always be a masterpiece; plain and simple. 2) Mariah Carey and Prince have different singing styles, so yes both versions will sound different and have different strengths. I applaud Mariah Carey and Dru Hill for doing such a wonderful job on such an amazing song.

I just wasted 4 minutes of my life...I couldn't listen to the rest. I'm all for different versions of songs but this is a sad misrepresentation of a classic. Prince was crying and feeling this song and this one is just vocals. Sorry but I like anything Dru Hill or Mariah Carey but this.
