The bass is to much for the mic on the camera, that's why it sounds distorted when you get close to the truck

Oh I know, definitely. But usually you don't hear ANYTHING because of that distortion ...
Or you wouldn't be hearing clarity when I'm 10-20 feet away from the vehicle, which you are in this vehicle.
It's one of those "Better in person" vehicles, definitely.
