My First Pneumatic Halloween Bush Jumper

Hey everyone, this is my first try at a pneumatic halloween prop. I think it turned out pretty good. Still have to dress it up and paint the base but the structure is built. I'm using a 1-1/6" bore cylinder with a 10" shaft, which I purchased at automation direct. I'm controlling the air flow with a 5 way solenoid valve kit that I bought from frightprops.com. Since I used my buddy's air compressor and built it with wood/supplies that I had laying around, it only ran me about $100. Which still isn't cheap but the quality will pay off in the long run. many companies make them - no need to choose SMC, there are tons of cheap pneumatic parts on ebay

looks good for a first take, mine was sketchy as sketchy can be, now im welding and i love it sooo much ill have videos up soon. but may i suggest for the moving rod you use a piece of wood screwed to a hinge. its a little less flexible!

You can use flow controls at the cylinder to control your speed smc makes them

great prop, but remember just because it was your first prop, doesnt mean it has to be this simple
