@SaraMS24 Wow, I totally forgot I ever commented on this song. But, yeah, the lyrics don't make much sense. That being said, I rarely put stock in lyrics. Most artists aren't Gordon Lightfoot; they don't think about what's a good "story" for the song. Interestingly, a friend just compared this song the other day with "Ecstasy of Gold". Both songs are a slow progression build of intensity that breaks apart at the end.

@meetube903 Have a more open mind. Although songs can have huge sexual innuendos, that doesn't mean they have no meaning other than sexual.

@n8wags I agree that Diddy did a great job on the vocals and "story" of the song, as in the buildup, climax, and slow down, it is one of the reasons why I don't side with the Zeppelin fans who *despise* this song....its a great song in its own right, but I think it leaves MUCH to be desired. I think all it needs is more cohesive lyrics and a better rapper.

@killlerzoo LOL he kinda does =)

On a final note, I think that the only reason this song became popular was because of Zeppelin's instrumentals. >_>

and meaning of the lyrics.
Also, on a side note, according to Wikipedia P. Diddy did legally obtain the rights to use Kashmir in Come With Me. As for the movie Godzilla, I can't remember enough about it to say whether Come With Me ruined it or not.I do know that the *only* reason I am on this page right now is because I recognized the beat when I heard Kashmir, remembered that I had heard it in a movie, and decided to research what movies it was in. I didn't remember Puff Daddy's version at all!

Compared to any Eminem song, for example, I believe that even a person who is not a fan of rap can listen to the two songs and hear the difference in the beat, the flow of the rap, the sense (or, in em's case, intentional nonsense) of the words, etc (taking into account only the lyrics, not the actual music, as Kashmir can defeat any of Em's beats unfathomably). The superiority of Eminem's lyrics, as well as most other rappers I've heard including those I dislike, is obvious, especially the flow

1:00 minute of intro = FAIL... awesome song dough

no he didin't, come on man, Kashmir is an amazing clasic rock song, but he did a nice tribue, of course with his own producers, lyrics and influences, I think it sounds amazing and page was there the entire process.
