The EMG's would definately give you a harder sounding metal tone. The great thing about this is that it's voiced with a really nice low to mid-range tone so if you are after a lot more of a crunchy tone hotter pick ups like the EMG's it wouldn't get lost in a lot of flabby bottom end.

Man great playing, i would like to ask one question: what do u think about this amp thru EMGs 81 85? i would like to have nasty crunchy chunky metal sound:)
