Fishing at Thousand Acre Swamp, Berkshire, MA

05/29/2011 - Took 6 hours and went fishing from 5:30am - 1:30pm. Fish hit on small floating lures with treble hooks retrieved quickly with a pause. They picked up the occasional plastic senko (green/red flake) twitch slowly on the bottom or retrieved quickly and then allowed to pause and sink. Water temp was between 72-74 degrees. Max lake depth that I found was only 6 feet. Don't recommend taking in an expensive boat. Bring bug spray. Use braided line. Awesome lily pads and stumps galore. There are largemouth bass living in this lake in small schools and I'm sure there probably a few big ones since this pond is spring fed. You just have to locate them.

Great video guy! Just bought by 126 yak and I'm going out next weekend with college buddies in N. Wisconsin. What kind of video camera are you using?
BTW....we have, like almost identical gear (tackle box, net, paddle) LOL...although my kayak is of the grey rather than green variant. You must have splurged at Dick's Sporting goods.

Nice video man. Just got that kayak to cast some flys and whackys on the local lakes and smaller rivers here in Jersey. Love it. Only complaint would be the seat.

@lvlxx Replace the seat with a GCI Outdoor Bleacher seat from Dicks Sporting Goods $19.99 Retail, just cut the strap off the bottom
