Newly Constructed 43,000 Square-Foot State-Of-The-Art Center Provides Educational Facilities & Equipment to Support Two-and Four-Year Degree Programs Offered by Indiana University-Purdue University Columbus, Ivy Tech Community College, & Purdue College of Technology
COLUMBUS, IN. The Community Education Coalition (CEC) held a building dedication ceremony for the new Advanced Manufacturing Center of Excellence (AMCE) on June 10, 2011. Funded through a grant made possible by Lilly Endowment Inc., the 43,000 square-foot state-of-the-art facility is shared by Indiana University- Purdue University Columbus, Ivy Tech Community College and Purdue College of Technology. Featured speakers included world renowned architect, Cesar Pelli; Indiana University President Michael McRobbie; Ivy Tech Community College President Tom Snyder, Purdue University President, France Córdova; and community leader and founding CEC board member, Will Miller.
