A gigantic Pileated Woodpecker seen near Algonquin Park, Canada in February 2007. Dryocopus pileatus is over 19 inches tall. Watch as it destroys this tree in search of grubs.

  • The pileateds that I've seen here in Rhode Island seem to be on the larger side form what I can tell as well.

  • Great video! I have yet to see a Pileated in person!
