A gigantic Pileated Woodpecker seen near Algonquin Park, Canada in February 2007. Dryocopus pileatus is over 19 inches tall. Watch as it destroys this tree in search of grubs.

The pileateds that I've seen here in Rhode Island seem to be on the larger side form what I can tell as well.
