Jack raped Kayla and that was very, very wrong but he did work very hard later to make up for the past with both Steve and Kayla. He also publicly admitted what he had done to Kayla when Lawrence Alamain was on trial for raping Jennifer and that for me was when he was truly redeemed. He took full responsibility for his past actions which he'd never been able to do in the past. He always wanted everyone to see him as the victim after he raped Kayla until he admitted the truth.

@landrykkb Sorry, have to disagree. Jack raped Kayla BEFORE he found out he was Billy Johnson. A "troubled and checkeder past" can be the roots of a "bad guy" depending on what kind and how bad was the trouble and the size and number of the checks.

Jack did rape Kayla which was inexcusable but then it seems he spent the rest of his life making up for it by being the best person he could be. He definitely was never perfect but i think he truly cared for his family despite being raised by a psychopath.

Contrary to popular opinion,Jack Deveraux never really was a bad guy.He was just a character with a troubled and checkered past in part of that came to a head upon discovering that Jo Johnson was his mother and that Steve and Adrienne were his siblings,consequently.
