CO2 Laser DSP controller I purchased from LightObject.com. This controller is a fantastic upgrade for the smaller Chinese engravers that came with MoshiDraw (like mine). It can also upgrade older laser systems from US manufacturers that have outdated controllers. Of course it is also a nice controller for a home-built CNC laser. I spent many days trying to get my laser working will with Mach3 and EMC2. Those programs aren't designed for fast raster. This controller can upload jobs from CorelDraw or AutoCad directly to the DSP without having to do any intermediate steps like Gcode conversion. The files can be stored in the DSP and called up at a later time without the need for a computer. The files can also be imported to the DSP from a thumb drive USB. Once a file is stored, the processing speed and power can be modified via the DSP control panel without the need to reprocess it in the computer. In addition to this controller, you will also need stepper motor driver cards capable of micro-stepping. You can also get these from LightObject.com, along with laser tubes, power supplies, mirrors, lenses, etc. I have been happy with them and they have been responsive to my support questions.
I gave a drawing to a friend with a lathe and it appeared the next day. Its good to have friends with good machine shop tools.
