From the archives of NATv, this segment produced by the now defunct crime investigation program "Gus Abelgas Nag-uulat" (2003) reports about the story behind the mysterious .357 magnum revolver that was recovered from alleged assassin Rolando Galman on that fateful day of August 1983, which was believed to be the weapon used to assassinate Ninoy Aquino!

Pardon the audio and video quality.

  • Looks pretty simple to solve actually. Its a short range weapon and there were only a few people around him at that time that could take the shot. All that needs to be done is figure out the direction where the bullet was coming from in proportion to where he was standing, round up the people who were around him at that moment, take finger prints from the gun and from those around him. And then just interrogate those people separately. Harsh interrogation makes rats squeal.

  • It's actually easier said than done. I guess if you're the head of the investigation then,u may have done a more decent job!

Sadly, the crime scene & the evidences were all contaminated! The alleged .357 was mishandled, tampering all prints;while the autopsy on Ninoy wasn't taken seriously by the dictatorship.

The trajectory of the bullet was downward;entry wound was at the back of the left ear & exiting at the chin.If a .357 was used at point blank,Ninoy's head would've been obliterated!

  • .357 ay almost same diameter ng .38 cal, truth to this a .357 could also be loaded by a .38 spl..Heads ng 38 ay pwedeng gamitin sa shell ng .357..kala ko ba .45 ang ginamit?based sa exit wounds ni ninoy parang .45 nga ang gamit..

  • It is widely believed by forensic experts that a .45 was used to kill Ninoy; the same issued sidearm used by the AVSECOM soldiers. Kung pag-babasehan ang mga testimonies ng mga witnesses against the soldiers, kung sundalo ang bumaril kay Ninoy, HINDI nagamit ni Galman ang .357 na dala nya!

Though the latter was positive for powder burns in his hands, experts agree that the reason for this was said 2 be the result of Galman firing a few rounds during a target practice earlier that day!

  • Naniniwala ako na hindi .357 ang ginamit na baril kay Ninoy. Tama ang sinabi sa video na baka 9MM or .38 ang ginamit na baril...pwede rin .45 ang pinang-patay!

If a .357 was used to shoot Ninoy, his head could've been BLOWN OFF! Imagine, point-blank syang barilin ng .357? Tanggal ang panga nya kung ganun (since ang exit would ng bullet ay sa chin)! Plus sabog ang utak nya parang pakwan! =0

  • I understand your ignorance kabayan.

  • @2005LyceumA401 hopefully we'll have a better system this time. It really breaks my heart to see the philippines not improving at all

  • @gudlukinguy

Indeed. Gen. Fabian Ver and 25 of his cohorts were indicted by the Agrava Fact Finding Commission and were found guilty of double murder. Unfortunately, that one sick DICKtator Marcos had them all acquitted via the Sandiganbayan.

The rest, as we all know, is history.

  • this case should have been solved right away if not for the corruption of the fuckin government.

  • Napanood ko ito nung pinalabas ito back in 2003.

Having heard this Col. Alvarez's confession, I'm even more convinced that Makoy's hatchet man, Gen. Fabian Ver, mobilized his cohorts Maj. Gen. Prospero Olivas (Metrocom) and Brig. Gen. Luther Custodio (AVSECOM) to eliminate NINOY! Kaya sa mga conspiracy nut-jobs dyan, wag na kayong mag-isip pa ng malayo! It's all part of a MILITARY OPERATION!!!

I'm sure these assholes are now burning eternally in HELL!

Hoy IMELDA! They're waiting for YOU!!!

  • wala pang soco d2 hehe
