http://www.lockergnome.com/news/2012/01/09/why-you-should-be-glad-youre-not-a... - The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) is one of the largest technology trade shows in the world. Close to 129,000 people attended the event in 2011, though the question this year, as Microsoft makes its final appearance, is whether or not CES has lost its relevancy in the world of tech. Most of the content unveiled at CES is leaked prior to the event, and the crowded halls are only so helpful to reporters trying to get any hands-on time with the latest gadgetry. The world of 2012 is much different from 1967, when CES first appeared on the scene; what does it have to offer the modern day tech aficionado that the Internet or dozens of other news sources can't provide?

  • I think many of the points are great, the best point is that smaller shows. You can get the same hands on demos that you can with CES but since as many people are not there you have many a lot more time to play and see different things.

  • @Joeybsmooth - Some people rate without watching the video.

  • I think Chris should say the same for Apple's WWDC, cuz he has never been there too...

  • @jcodypf - I've been to CES. Thanks for guessing incorrectly.

  • Chris should been at the CES trying to beat at The PC GUY lol.. /watch?v=zQZww_C6Zgg&feature

  • I don't think CES could ever be boring. Even if there isn't anything really revolutionary, it's always sensory overload for the geek. I come here, and I'm inspired. My mind begins to think creatively, and I want to go out and innovate. That's what CES is about to me.

  • Case in point steve ballmer what good did his speech do? Your right he did not say anything new.

  • CES is awesome especially when you have never been to one. It's an eye-opening experience especially to those new to the actually tech scene. Yes, it will get boring if go happen to go every year, but if you have never gone before, it is definitely worth the experience.

This vid is just a tard ranting, I wouldnt take his word for it if you have never gone to CES.

Want to know if CES is worth it? Go yourself and form your own opinion, this guy is just a clown

  • this is my third time going to CES and the only reason for attending is because to see celebrities. I'm glad I live in Vegas area so I'm not to be worried for any accommodations except parking fee. Seeing newest gadget, getting touch with demo is fun but at the same time most of them are the same as previous CES.

  • *sad face I've never been to CES.....

  • How come the audio quality is always so bad?

  • I think they don't allow prius there that why he is home playing with Lego
