Laparoscopic Appendectomy. An Improvised method.

This Videos describes Laparoscopic Appendectomy using 03 ports technique. There are a few modifications and improvisations to make the procedure more cost effective. The mesentry of Appendix is cauterized using short bursts of low voltage Mono-polar diathermy. The appendicular base is doubly tied, with cromic catgut-1 made Roder's knot, re-using a plastic knot pusher from Endo-loop.The appendix is extracted using a pouch made from a size 8 surgical glove which is introduced through 10mm camera port. The appendix is extracted with the pouch through the camera port.
