  • Recumbent bicycle with a fairing is the best you will get with aerodynamics.

  • Whilst you can't enter a recumbent, are there any rules against adding a nose that clips onto the front forks, covering the front wheel and diverting air around the cyclist, and also a tail fairing that allows the air pressure to push the bike forwards as it equalises behind the cyclist? I know all this stuff would be heavy on hills but what about a flat time trial?
