HD version. Windows 8 no true desktop style start menu. Windows 8 menu fix like win 7 in Description

AFTER 24 HRS I GOT A POP UP WARNING NOT TO SHOW WINDOWS 8, SO I REMOVED THE VIDEO . I've been advised that it's ok to show it, so it's back :)

I made this short video after a 12 hr test of Windows 8

it shows Windows 8 with no true desktop style start menu, a BIG mistake by ms

What kills it for me is the lack of a true desktop start menu

i have 1000s of progs on terabytes of hdd's, how can i get to all my pros using a phone interface!.

you can't get away from Metro, as soon as you click the old start menu, you jump back to Metro.

they need to have a option not to install all the shitty Metro stuff, and use a start menu.

OK MS said in the dev video "the windows 7 start menu is gone", they need to have a option to put back.

I've found a hack to do just that ...

Open Run type regedit.exe hit Enter key to launch Registry Editor.

In the Registry Editor, navigate to

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Mic­rosoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\­Explorer

In the right pane, double-click on the entry named RPEnabled and change its value from 1 to 0 to enable the Windows 7 Start menu in Windows 8

They want you to log in, but atm you don't have to

you can fix win8 to be like 7 using reg hacks or tools :)

this was win8 dev, i think win 8 user is out now, but havent tested it

if you need any help or info i can get you the tools :)

btw i hate win8 start, so if i ever use it on my next pc, i would make it 100% like win 7, or just keep 7 as i use a kb and mouse and not a phone gggggrrrrrrr

So in windows 7 I always hit the start menu then start typing to find my program, like cmd or whatever. But in your vid, you have to be signed in to a Microsoft live account or something in order to do that? WTF..

Also, is there away to shut off aero glass and aero bloated borders like you haveinwin8? In Windows 7 it's control panel --> system -->advanced system settings -->performance pane (settings button) and then you can disable visual styles on windows and buttons and other gui annoyances.
