how can you call Paleo a fad when many people have had this kind of approach for 1000s of years? and even if you don't agree with that, people like loren cordain have been doing this since the 1990's & robb wolf more than 10 years. that's not a fad. they've been able to sustain this for many years with great results, as have many others. a fad would be 3 months or so & that's not what this is. it's a lifestyle also about spending time in nature, reducing toxins, getting enough sleep & much more

there is no one paleo diet, but rather a paleo template/approach which then allows one to find out what works for them. if you look past the media's spin on paleo you will find that some people who follow a paleo approach do eat some starch like sweet potato, yams, etc, and some even have white rice, seriously. it's not necessarily high protein or low carb. it's more about food quality, nutrient density and removing inflammatory foods such as grains, legumes and bad quality dairy.

I understand Paleo people would get mad about this video. I think it depends on the person. I feel great when I eat a mostly plant based diet and eat very little dairy and meat. I tried Paleo and felt terrible on it and some people who eat primal had their lives changed. I know Paleo says this is genetically our "natural diet" so it implies its for everyone. Humans are adapted to eat whats available, period. So eat whatever combo of whole food that makes you feel great.

Paleo is not a fad diet. Why don't you research this, before you give advice? Oatmeal is not "heart-healthy" by the way - it has lots of anti-nutrients, like oxalic acid and others.

My family laughed when I told them I was going to burn fat with "Epic Lean Body", but then I showed them the results. Google "Epic Lean Body" to see their reaction.

Wow. Fantastic vid. My buddy was once an overweight fella. He went from 285 lbs of pure fat to 218 lbs of full-strength muscle mass. His relatives were in shock. I just signed up personally because I'm wanting to get bigger muscles. He used the Muscle Building Bible (Google it)...

I was very disappointed to see Jillian's opinion on Paleo. I understand where she thinks it's a 'fad diet'. But then again, I'd be curious to know if she thinks that those of us who have intestinal/digestive tract damage should be eating foods that are "crap" for some of us. And for her to dismiss anyone in the medical community, makes her lose all credibility with me. I hope she does her own homework.

dude, another reason for shorter lifespans... have you considered them having NO HEAT, NO ROOF, TONS OF PREDATORS, And struggling for surviving floods, ice ages, storms, droughts, with no technology as of today? Old 40 year old people who ran slower were left behind for the predators!
