  • Thank you for uploading some of Prokofiev's compositions. I absolutely adore his works. I just wish ALL of his music would get the same attention as The Battle On The Ice nowadays. I do hope it makes some people realize how enjoyable this genre of music really is.

  • Haha, tell me about it.

  • Ok... This piece makes me feel like I was in the Chernobyl disaster. I love how moving this is!

  • Breathtaking

  • A little faster than what I'm used to, it kind of takes away from the grief and sorrow that's embedded in the song. All the same, a great and powerful piece.

  • Ah, the Teutonic Knights are the bad guys in this movie. The scene is meant as an indictment of that monstrous pursuit known as "holy war" (what a frickin tautology), and as such is even more powerful today.

  • I hope I don't ruin anyone's day by saying that as much as I am awestruck by the eerie power of this music,I still can't quite listen to this without thinking of the monks in "Monty Python & the Holy Grail."

  • This was the music from the great patriotic epic film Alexander Nevsky. Sergei Prokopiev did a great job depicting the horror and desolation brought by the crusading Teutonic Knights.

  • #1 Funeral piece.

  • @Brendanslocumb i would love to try it! i play viola but im only ten i would stand no chance against this amazing piece.

  • @Bethelight311 i first heard battle on the ice on littlebigplanet but then i check out his other songs and they were completely beautiful

  • Was reading a old issue of Wizard Magazine and Batman Author Peter Tomasi recommended this. Glad i reread that iss! thx for upload

  • A wonderful theme, worthy of the mightful Teutonic Knights!!!
