  • Hey! How much cottage cheese do you eat at night and do you eat it every night before bed?

  • @isittimetoeat I usually try to get 20-25 grams of protein before bed, sometimes I add calories and consume 40-50 (depends on the day and how many calories I got that day)

Adjust your serving sizes accordingly. Try to consume fat free

  • how many grams of casein protein should you take before you go to bed?

  • @aguadevida69 25-40 in my opinion

  • @barthelfitness 2 scoops of optimum nutrition casein (48 grams)?

  • @aguadevida69

    I take one scoop, I am 220lbs.

  • @vickysaccount and watch your proportions and drink mostly water stay away from soft drinks and high sugar drinks....

  • @vickysaccount fat doesn't push up weight muscle does...add either 30 minutes of carido 5-6 days or 3-4 days an hour of cardio...many forms of cardio exercises but i would suggest jogging, or biking...eat cleaner more fruits and veggies, still keep a high protein diet but less fat stick with protein from almonds, beans, or eggs....fat is ok depending on where the fat comes from stay away from saturated, or trans fat...stick with your strength training as well.. and you should be good

  • Umm I'm 16 I am 290 pound I'm just trying to lose belly fat I bench press 325 I use to play football can anyone help is this a good way to lose lbs and still be able to bench 325 people keep saying when you lose lbs to lose muscles "pls help" your guns be an ass dnt bother to txt

  • i take casein protein shake b4 i sleep, you know it takes like 7 hours to digest, does that mean you wont have protein in your muscles for 7 hours? or is there protein in your muscles for 7 hours? im confussed, or should i eat something like chicken and then have a casein shake straight after it? so i have protein straight away when i sleep plut after its finished then the casein kicks in to my muscles?

  • quick question

on the days i dont work out i take creatine in the morning with green tea with some honey honeys good for you and the sugar helps the creatine absorb i also drink a protine shake it it better to mix the 2 or keep them seprite

  • so drinking a glass of milk b4 bed is smart O_o

  • you do know that whole food meat digests slower than casein.. casein has about a 4-5 hour window of digestion and steak/chicken has 6-12 hours digestion..........

  • hmm i always wake in the middle of the night like 2-4 times grab small nibbles and go back to sleep xD

  • I stay away from any processed casein(powders). It causes havoc in your stomach and literally rots there. It wasn't actually intended to be sold to the public. When remnants were available from making whey they decided to market it(make money). It's bad for you IMO. Generally when it comes to "bodybuilding" stick with whole natural foods. Anything processed is just that PROCESSED. Terrible for your body.

  • if you dont like cottage cheese, you can eat some fat free yogurt (like greek yogurt, i cant stomache it buy my gf loves it)

you also want to add some healthy fat w/ your bedtime snack, i add 2 spoons of ground flax seed, (i buy 2lb bag for like $5, last me 2 months). flaxseed is also a great source for omega3,6,9. you can also eat some peanuts (try lightly salted or unsalted)

the healthy fat slows the digestion rate of what you ate.
