This video was taken on September 03, 2009 in Berlin, Germany
at Langenscheidtbrücke in the sky to the south (at approximately 165°-170°)
around 11 pm. An interesting effect showed in the display when looking and comparing
the object and the moon through the video camera: at a low zoom the object as well
as the moon seem to pulsate. This effect seizes though when zooming in on the moon
which is steady then. When zooming in on the object however it shows remarkable
changes in size and color which are quite puzzling to me. According to star maps it could be Jupiter but I have never heard of any effects that could explain those changes. The camera is a Panasonic SDR-H80 which has a 70x optical zoom and 3,500 digital zoom. Since the optical zoom is really good the footage should show a pretty accurate picture.
