Such a lovely and talented young boy! Listen to him makes me relax! Thanks to you for sharing it with me! Say hello to the big pianoplayer from me in Norway!

Thanks.

He is very fond of your kind words. Thanks.

Thanks very much! Spencer knows that he could have played a bit more playfully, but audience seem to have enjoyed it.

I enjoyed your playing, Spencer. Listen to the composer's rendition - it is not too hard to get hold of on CD. You will develop the right spirit of cheekiness and naughtiness required. [A pity about the "Cathedrale Engloutie" acoustics !!!!! chuckles] They are almost as bad as the "agnostics" [fifth ground of appeal to the bitter and twisted commissionaire [this is joke]]

Thanks we obtained from iTunes a copy of Prokofiev himself playing this piece, and it has proven that your comments were very correct. (...assuming Maestro probably knew what he wanted to portray by his music...) THANKS!

What a magnificent setting - a wonderful renaissance church in Italy. I played this gavotte as an encore once myself. One can imagine a Russian peasant serving girl (there you go, there are at least four complaints you can make to the Commissionaire for complaints by bitter, twisted people) has found her mistresses's high-heel shoes (which are a little too big for her) and her red lipstick (which is a shade too richly coloured) and is having a whacko time while her mistress is out.

The image you painted here is quite vivid a well represents composer's intent (...me thinks) - Many thanks!

..you probably noticed how high his bench is. Andrew, a very talented (and toll) pianist was playing before Spencer, and Spencer spent about a minute trying to adjust it down (unsuccessfully) to the delight of the audience. He finally gave up and used the bench as it was.
