Me trying a brazilian keratin treatment for the first time. I picked up the Organix Brazilian Keratin Therapy 30 Day Smoothing Treatment at CVS for about $16.

Here are the ingredients: Water, oxoacetamide, carbocysteine, oxoacetamide amino acids, polyquaternium 67, behentrimonium chloride, cetearyl alcohol, peg-90, Shea butteramodipropyl trimonium chloride, Shea butter, cetyl ester, isopropylpalmitate, cyclopentasiloxane, dimethicol, dimethicone crosspolymer, methyl chloroisothiazolinone, methylisothiazoline, fragrance, silanetriol, panthenol

My Flat iron does not go up to 400 degrees like the product recommends. I don't mind though. I'd rather not have heat damage.

  • It came out great... I'm considering trying this product by I'm not sure yet. How do the results compare to just using a flat iron only on the hair? Also when you washed ur hair 2 days later did your hair revert right away?

  • @MsCamilleB My hair reverted easily. The keratin rinsed out completely when I used a suulfate shampoo later on. If I flat iron my hair without this treatment, it's curly again within at least 72 hours. :-)

  • how about on short hair will it still do the same thing, better yet dry curly hair?

  • @taylorlaylay Yep. I wouldn't use it on dry hair though. It's protein, so it might leave dry hair brittle. (maybe cause breakage?)

  • Lol...nice rent poster. :)

  • @acuik10 Thanks!

  • OMG what is with the ominous music lol! I wonder what would happen if you skipped the whole blowdry and flat iron part?

  • I love your hair color. Does your red fade a lot? How often do you reapply the color?

  • lol @ the dramatic music!

  • @destine1212 Yep. Absolutely. I just didn't have one.

  • @AnjellaRose8 Honestly, I didn't wear my hair straight for too long, so I'm not sure. But I'm using this again in a couple weeks and I'll make a vid for you guys. I'm way overdue! Lol :)

  • @faydradee Um, no. Absolutely not. Google 'Keratin Treatment' :-)

  • This just seems like a mild texturizer

  • @BronzeTrinity the heat helps to seal in the keratin treatment!

  • How long did the treatment last?
