ilipat na lang po sa dasma... ung main campus...

nabasa ko rito, DLSU daw has purchased already the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex? how true?
-
I really agree with this! But by then, I'd be gone from DLSU.
-
go to QC.

perhaps an expansion of DLSU manila will do.. I agree with the fact of congestion. DLSU has become very small na for the population of its students. I remember lalo na nung centennial. Getting through the area was comparable to squeezing through crowds in Greenhills.

This idea, (although practical and beneficial when we talk of long-term plans), is quite too ambitious, if you ask me. I was a freshman way back when the Bro. Andrew Gonzales Building wasn't built yet (yes, that long ago), and I think I'd speak for all the other 'old school' alumni (including those donors you mentioned) that there's too much history in that Taft Campus to relocate.
I believe there were talks about moving all Engineering courses to the Canlubang campus. What happened to that?

In an ideal world, your Wack-Wack campus would be nice though. I've heard that a group of alumni were negotiating on buying Wack-Wack for DLSU, but it didn't materialize.
BTW @TheDeLasallian May I have a copy of your map too? :)

IMO Relocating the whole campus doesn't seem necessary to me. Henry Sy's kids could have just donated land in MOA sufficient for COS, COE, and CCS to transfer. Shuttle service in between campuses and special class scheduling can be arranged.
Also, I don't think the Brothers would be willing to give up St. La Salle Hall that easily.

@TheDeLasallian: PM/email sent! Thanks again :)

that's why cos coe ccs are moving out to canlubang in 5 years just in case you don't know...
@ kemlens: the map is a self-made hypothetical proposal.. I'm just raising the idea of relocation. If you wish to have the map-proposal anyway, please PM me your email and I can send it to you :-)

@RJMM : on the issue of funding, logistics, relocation timetable, etc., it all again, boils down to the LONG-TERM PLAN. The details will certainly serve what's best for Lasallians. The "what if's" can be further discussed if the Admin accedes to this idea.
Besides, relocating to a larger campus could mean accommodation to more students... and MORE SCHOLARS (funding, again, can be addressed through the networking of Alumni)

@RJMM: on the issue of the Malate campus: what DLSU can do is to make the Taft campus a school that could only involve low-population students (Theology school, Professional schools, research centers). We can also add institutions that involves low-level population (ex. DLSU hospital, CSB-extension,etc). kapag mag katrahedya, mas madaling mamanage yung evacuation kasi kaunti lang ang tao. (just think of the Br. Andrew drill.. 20 mins. to evac.) Again, it boils down to PROPER LONG-TERM PLANNING

the idea of "too expensive" or "it will increase our tuition" should be dispelled. Through proper long-term planning, the DLSU community was able to accumulate 2-billion pesos for the Scholarship Fund. Why? Two factors 1) proper long-term planning & management and, 2) the networking of Lasallian Alumni. How many Lasallian/DLSU supporter billionaires are there? Sy, Razon, Cojuanco =THREE! That says a lot. It's just a matter of will power. I'll create my next video based on this idea.
