  • Awsome job and plane. i love electric motors planes Awsome Conversion billy you Rock dude!!!!!!

  • @theaztbear For the right price she can be yours!!!

  • Is it worth making huge planes with electric motors? I understand small planes - there's an obvious advantage in electrics over nitro... but I can't find any advantages when powering large planes using electric motors...

The cost of the motor, speed control and batteries overtakes a decent gas engine (plus hours of fuel) and flight time shrinks from ~15 to ~5 minutes.

Given that you *have* done it, what do you find advantageous about it?

  • @IRisingFuryI

The motor was $49.95 I had the ESC and Batts.I fly it for 7 min. and i used up 2000mha in a 3700mha pac. It now has more then 2 times the power and the plane is 3 pounds lighter now!!!! You will never get the power out of gas that you can get out of a brushless motor.

  • I would say...yea it flies! ...nicely! Great conversion, Billy!

  • @TheLipRipp3r

  • Billydog44444 - sweet glide / landing even tho the wings are short they have a lot of area must be - standing on its tail at half throttle is way kool - are you the 2nd owner?

  • Another great electric convert dude. I always wanted to do a 40 size but getting packs in out be a pain. no hatch. I have flown a 60 size they fly great.
