You are right. For some reason I thought Scriabin was "Expressionist" composer, apparently not.

According to Wikipedia and other music encyclopedias, it rather belongs to a period and style trend called Russian Symbolism of which Scriabin is considered the most important representative

I would call it post-romantic. Symbolist? It's 1892, and he's beginning. He belongs to the modern era.
