I'm 21 and one of my favorite childhood memories was watching this show with my parents. Things like this show, the westside market, steve's hot dog inn, and the drew carey show remind me of the better times of my city. I love Cleveland. Anyone remember the Cleveland Shuffle and Garfield 1-23-23?

You are like Cleveland Royalty! I still remember PM Magazine with Michael Stanley, and I have to admit I got teary eyed when I learned that Casey Coleman passed. These people were such a huge part of my childhood, as corny as it sounds. They were just what we all watched. I love Cleveland and hate it when people dump on it. There is so much going for the city, but it is just stuck in the Northern City Rut.

All long standing stores in Cleveland. You still see commercials for Volks "paying spot cash", but you don't see Mike the Hatter or anything from the Big Q. I am actually related to Chuck Schodowski by marriage. I have heard all of the stories ad nauseam. But, it is nice to see that people out there still care. I also remember Doug Deacon; and. by god, Goddard is still on the air.

Come back guys!

Oh man! I still laugh when I think of all the late night commercials, too. Like for Volk's, Mike the Hatter, The Big Q. I loved staying up for this show as a kid.

I grew up watching Big Chuck and Lil' John. I grew up in Barberton, Ohio. 1 hour south of Cleveland. My brother and I would stay up and watch their show every Friday night. I moved away from Ohio when I wa 19. I'm 41 now, and have missed it ever since. I registerd on their web site. So, I am gald to know that they are still going strong.
Big Chuck and 'Lil John *are* Cleveland. Makes me wistful for home. I swear I've watched the Slim Whitski skit ten times in a row. I have tears in my eyes!

The Ghoul was corny but the main thrill was just getting to stay up all nite. Once he showed the B-horror flick The Vampire Lovers (or Lesbos Vampiros) which was super racy, started w/ this really hot chick dancing on the beach in a T-shirt cut to show the bottoms (!) of her breasts.
Even as a 10 yr old I enjoyed the heck out of that movie. Some of those B horror movies were borderline soft core porn.
Ah, childhood!

I loved all these guys as a kid- I was a little too young and missed Ghoulardi, but enjoyed his (less talented) successor "The Ghoul" and Big Chuck and Houlihan. Aficianados may know that director P T Anderson (Magnolia, Boogie Nights) is Ernie (Ghoulardi) Anderson's son.
