I so admire people like yourself who put animals before patriotism. I have many greek friends who share your opinion which is heartening and so gives us "outsiders" the encouragement to continue to try and support them and the animals of course.

No this is not true. At all- also I would like to point out that NOT every part of Greece is the same. I love animals too and all of them should be treated right but greeks are not selfish and they do care

My friend efcvs, Greece is never gonna be like UK in terms of animal rights because people in Greece do not care at all about animals and government as well. I am Greek and I am really sad about that issue. I totally respect your opinion and I neither would go in a country were animals are treated in this way..

I got back from Greece 2 weeks ago,& animal abuse is horrific.Their govt. do nothing, but just sit back & condone mass poisoning after the tourists have left.They accuse u.k.,Germany & Denmark of taking their strays for skins & medical experiments.Why would we pay so many euros to re-home Greek strays to do that?
