Slow stick vertical climb out

Slow stick GWS BP brushless 22mm motor 1kv Electrify 2/3 a 8.4v 1000ma
9x7 prop About 5mph winds. Most cruising at half but full throttle into
the headwind. Near vertical climb out and didn't go out more then 30'
from lift off spot then it just climbed out. Look out for the road
sign, I didn't know the flight path was that well marked!!

@oicurageologist You might be needing a faster plane! if you are to the point of where you are putting it to the firewall for more speed then get a faster plane. The slowstick has those huge cambered wings to give lot's of lift and they reduce the possible speed of the plane. Check out my new plane killerbee and wait for killerbee V2 coming soon!(homebuilt foamboard)

@ElementIsMyLife777 sorry for the long response time, I use a LiPo with a brushed. I can see where you are going with this, but I will have to wait till I am state side again to change out my motor. Also the comment that I have to get off the throttle is an insightful one. I know I tend to go "balls to the walls." I am still too new at flight R/C that I forget some simple basics.

It still has the dihedral I trimmed the wing for a bit more speed and to carve off crash damage! The stick on top is to prevent the wing from bending too much on high speed dives and folding!

Oh yeah Brushless all the way! BP hobbies 2212-13 1000kv and a 18 amp esc with JST connectors, I still use this motor on my Su 26 plane.

Now I only use LIpo's But for this video it was only a $20.00 electrifly 2/3a pack 8.4v and 1100 mah Check out valuehobby they got good prices on lipo's and balance chargers! I used to get 15min out of a 2s 1500 lipo on the slowstick
