For $99, this little device slices 1080p video for breakfast. Handles all kinds of codecs, including .mkv, .wmv9 and h.264. Plays back media from any drive format, including NTFS and HSF+!

  • @whywhyman I don't see why everyone is banging on about DTS when Dolby digital is mandated for blu ray and DVD so you don't need DTS, I call BS on anyone who says they can hear the difference anyway and even if you could u need to stop being such an audio freak and start watching the movie.

  • And he owns a wii, lol

  • The fast forwarding feature is really impressive. But the interface looks crummy. I like having thumbnails for all my movies.

  • Duh says mkv bluray rips are in mkv

  • Does ist play blu-ray from ext. HDD ?

  • How many gigs do they have? no one states that... i think thats the most important thing

  • does anyone know if it can play Hi10P encoded files?

  • I have one of these and what I did is you can plug a USB Wifi adapter (i used a linksys usb wifi plug) into the WD TV and gives it wireless network support. Then you can stream your movies over your network from a shared folder on your pc's hard drive. Or stream from youtube/Pandora music service/etc.

There are also custom firmwares you can use similar to jailbreaking that adds 3rd party stuff like streaming shoutcast, streaming from other sites other than youtube. Support for flickr, etc.

  • love this device!

  • Can you record the ps3 with this ?
