Tomb Raider Underworld Cutscene 10: Natla's Story

Some way further in the ship, Lara overhears people talking and recognizes the voices. It are Amanda and Natla, having a conversation. Amanda complains that the gauntlet of Thor Lara found doesn't fit around her hand, and Natla explains that only Lara can wear it now, so it's useless to Amanda.

Amanda notices that they are breaking water and leaves the room to aboard the ship. Then Natla and Lara have a useful conversation.

I wonder how Amanda knew that Natla was alive and how she captured her in thet giant jar.

Well, Amanda and Lara were good friends, they were digging on a tomb in Paraiso and Lara was trying to find the path to her mother that way.

Possibly, Lara told Amanda about her previous quest ten years ago trying to find her mother by retrieving the scion, and the path she crossed with the Queen of Atlantis; Natla. And Natla cannot die, so the only thing Amanda had to do is dig Natla up!

But this is just a theory. =p

Natla has to be my favorite Tomb Raider Foe. You can`t get much better than a woman with wings!

And I love the new look they gave her, new outfit, hair and the wings...they move so fluidly! I think they make her look much more intimidating...

I totally agree. I mean, Marco Bertoli, Sophia Leigh, Werner von Croy and Eckhard/Karel could not top her at all. She is the ultimate enemy. =)

in Tomb Raider Underworld... Natla looks weird and weak...

nothing interesting, or to be fear of fight her when she's in front of you...

in fact.. no bosses fighting or somehting...

have to admit the storyline is the best ever..very interesting and epic...

Perks of being immortal...in Anniversary before the big boss fight...she actually "drowned" in lava...and yes she's still alive and there was the boss fight...it took her just like minutes (depending on how long you fight the hideous mutant monster - semi-boss fight) to get back at Lara..well burying her is nothing compared to swimming in hot lava...so it wouldn't be a surprise if she actually meets the bitch again..^_^ but I like her in underworld more than in anniversary...

I think Lara should of had a more realistic reaction to Natla being alive. She didn't seemed to be that bothered.

@trgunshot lol actually Lara was just a teenager (stated in her biography) when she met Natla.

On the wikipedia for Natla it says Amanda dug her up after Lara left the island and captured Natla,soon when Amanda found out Natla hate Lara too,they soon alied but not quite because Natla made the new dopleganger if Amanda tryed to trick her or get in her way of her own plans of getting rid of Lara and Amanda

Compared to the Tomb Raider 1 one Natla who personally seem to be a carefree Texas accent villain to the more serious one here in Underworld,there sure is a big change in her persona like expecting to see Lara again although i don't the originial creators of the first game even thought that Queen Natla of Atlantis would ever be used in another Tomb game but there still a few unanwsered story questions like happened to Natla Tech unless Lara is now a new part owner or how Natla get caught?
