Not to mention barely any of the non-irish actors could put on a passing Irish accent. Michael Madsen didn't even sound like he was trying, and whoever thought of casting Vinnie Jones as an Irish traveller must've been smoking crack at the time!

I was really excited when I heard about this. Michael Madsen as an old Irish boxer, it really sounded fucking bad ass. but i think the movie itself wasn't as good as it could have been. they had all the elements, drop Michael Madsen and Vinnie Jones in that kind of plot, it could have been a fucking instant classic, but the film makers got wrapped up in melodrama and didn't have any real style, and it ended up just being a mediocre movie.

Really want it released on dvd..its my boyfriends favourite film ever after seeing it once in the cinema...id love to get it for him as a suprise but its just not being released =(
