We claim the moral high ground by being correctly aligned with the founding principles of the United States, the fact that you can't understand that means you should perhaps spend less time venting pointlessly and spend more time trying to become a functioning American. The idea was confrontation on several levels.

Scum bags like Rudd have criss-crossed the country making a nice living off their murderous deeds and they have been accepted as heroes on American college campuses.

Our purpose was to get in Rudd's face and force him out of his comfort zone. I think we succeeded.

Mark's characterization of the 1981 politically-motivated Brink's Affair is inaccurate. Under international law, the former Weatherpeople arrested in 1981 should have been treated as political prisoners, not as criminals, and given the same kind of political status that arrested IRA volunteers eventually were given in the UK by the 1990s.
