Isn't this simply lovely..just delicious. I first heard this Barry Wordsworth arrangement on Classic FM a year or two ago and it literally stopped me in my tracks. I could not believe something so gorgeous and tender had been performed. Don't you just love Terfel.. what a hero

Thank you for this post! I first heard this song and version by Bryn Terfel when he performed at the Big Sing '09 at the Royal Albert Hall in London. Brings back wonderful memories... so thank you again!

I have loved this song since I first heard it - only Christmas 2009 unfortunately. I wish I had always known it. And the pictures here are beautiful. Jill
