I have 2 riviera, 3 sc400 and 1 sc300. This is by any means a riviera ad. The riviera is a good car but the sc300 with its I6 is in a complete different category. With two easy-to-install turbo it will easily beat any 500,000$ + car currently on the market.
As far as the sc400 goes, don't get me started. Best engine ever, can stand 500 000 miles easily, nothing to complain for otherwise the rust. That being said, a good oiling every year or so make this one of the best car I ever own.

aye dickhead were you paid by buick to do a review? lexus let you have it coz they knew the consumers would speak for themselves and tell you how much a sc is better than ya shit riviera .. and no both dont have good looks .. only the SC does .. you think both have performance? bring out the V8 version against ya shitty performance ..

I had a Buick riviera sc and it was very unreliable. It was a POS! I now own a Lexus sc300 and I love it!!! I got 240,000 miles on it and runs like new. I cant believe anyone can say the riv is beter than the lexus, thats bullshit! Not hating just calling it like I see it.

@BboyBlackout The only fact you stated was that the Riv is FWD.. the rest is opinion. That said, Idk how the Riv can be compared to a lux brand like Lexus. The advantage of the Rivieria in 97 was that it was a lot cheaper new, and had more passenger room. Prob also weighed 800 more pounds, and was a lot less sporty. The Lexus is made by a maker whose standards are a lot higher, while the Riv is a reach for a non-luxury brand who was trying to make something much nicer than it was used to. js
