It is a fact that prohibition creates artificial scarcity, and, in doing so, drives up the prices, in relation to a legal market, perpetuating robberies & other crimes committed by drug addicts. It is also a fact that prohibition perpetuates drug violence in giving up the market to organizations that operate outside the confines of the law and have no qualms about selling to children. Legalization does not solve the drug problem, but the violence associated with it.

@Hicksville if people accept that they are responsible for themselves then they will have to live with the guilt that they have built for themselves. then they might try and make up for it and be a better person. we couldnt have that now could we?

Fucking LOL. She said addiction is a result of "brain chemistry". Our views on addiction are almost as ignorant, backwards and down right retarded as our (lack of) understanding of the drug war as a whole. Guess what; we have 100% control over the drugs we take. The "urge" to take drugs has its root in psychological (anxiety, depression--for the most part) and situational problems. Withdrawals increase in intensity as mental and/or situational problems worsen. Spread the truth.
