@appleinaer There's a new product out called the Kanex XD and I would solve all your problems if you want to use your iMac 27 inch for your PS3 or Xbox. Check out the Kanex website.

Are you going to combine these products into one? I've been looking for an affordable solution to connect my PS3 to an Apple 20" LCD -- the native resolution is 1680x1050 and it has a ratio of 16:10

Primarily the target market are PS3 users with 27" iMac's would it therefore be better for the consumer to purchase an all-in-one solution which in theory bring the price down to a more affordable level?

There is currently nothing on the market for that. The best solution would be to use the AT-HD560 and the AT-DP200 together.

This combination of products can be used to connect HDMI devices such as a Bluray Player, or an Apple TV to the Apple 24" Cinema display.
