  • I work for oxford mining and I enjoy every day..well almost everyday of my job. It would be a shame for the new pres to try to hurt coal because in reality the damage that is done is repaired due to reclamation and probably oh 10 yrs of recoop time. Btw whoever takes time to post a comment on this has already used coal to turn the computer on and youtube is using coal to post your msgs!

  • I AGREE ! Once Reclaimed this land will be more beautiful rolling hills in Southern Ohio. Oxford Mining is a very responsible company, and WE NEED COAL da

  • Well. There are three things in life that you can bank on. Carhart gear, Red Wings, and Komatsu Heavy Equipment. I don't ever want anyone to think that I'd comment on the flavor without tasting it myself. I still believe that Cat made the best excavator on Earth....The 235 C. But Komatsu took over with the 400LC-5. And Cat fumbled with the E series. The Komatsu loaders smoke anything Cat has nowadays. But this is what I've driven and not just text book specs so go figure.

  • If you get the chance, check out on the National Geographic channel, the show on Ultimate Factories. They show the making of the worlds largest hauler, the Cat 793B. It airs Feb. 2 Sat at 8pm and also, Thur. Feb.7th. Its a must see for any heavy equipment lover.

  • Ok here goes. I'd put a Komatsu up against any Cat ever made. Why? Well, I wear Carhart winter gear cause it keeps me warm and lasts through at least 4 winters. My tools are almost all Snap-On cause cheap tools cost more in the long run. Anyone who has ever turned a wrench can smell cheap tools. And after many years of running heavy equipment I can say for sure that Komatsu is the leader.

  • You just made Mr. Holt role in his grave! I also hope you wear RedWing work boots.

  • I don't know where you all are from but when I worked in the surface mines of E. KY Komatsu dozers were only good for about 6000 hours and then they were junk we had 6 475's and replaced them with new D11's and the D 11's out lasted them 2 to 1..I used to get tickled at the Jap engineers coming out at quit time and measuring everthing on the D11's trying to figure out why they held up in the hard blue sand stone and the Kamatsu's fell apart...Transmissions and engines out in all 6 within 6K hour

  • Oxfords opening another pit hear in western ky, dont know the name yet, but we are putting up their powder bins late this week or early next week. supposed to have a big BE shovel from Wyoming coming in

  • Hey 1066D you must run your Kajunksu in dirt all the time, because if you ran it in any rock you

would be talking out your ass

  • This must been for the dedication of the 994f in early 2006 that I attended on a Friday. Friday was for showing it off to the industry and

Saturday was for the Oxford employees.
