Through personal and intimate conversations, we are taken on a journey of sexual discovery, self acceptance and ultimately self pride.
"Road to Pride" was filmed and directed by Lesedi Magoatlhe and Inger Smith.
Produced by Sulette and Marisa van Jaarsveld
Lesedi and Inger met at CityVarsity film school in 2003 and have been close friends and allies ever since.
After graduating in 2005, Inger has been working as a freelance director and editor in the industry and has recently set up her own production company "Linga Productions". Lesedi, one of "Mesa Films" young talents, has been working as a director on various television documentaries and music videos, and is currently completing her MA in documentary film at Sussex University in the UK.
Determined to work on a project together and with a shared passion for independent filmmaking, they embarked on a year long journey together in 2009 making the documentary "Road to Pride." Balancing other commitments and with no budget, it has been a struggle to compete the project, but by shear willpower, both Inger and Lesedi are very proud to have finally finished and are very excited to be part of this year's Out In Africa Film festival.

Wow - awesome! I just liked your Facebook page in case it becomes a DVD...with no budget. Just from the trailer it look totally inspiring and we need all the collective inspiration we can get!!

@WhiteTiger333 Thanks so much for your comment and also liking our facebook pg! :) We're in the process of applying to festivals all around the world - so the film might just end up heading your way sometime next year :) - we'll keep the facebook pg up to date with any news on that front :)
