That first violinist is a cutie.

  • I wish Tony Banks himslef would play the piano, this is kind of 'his' song i think...

  • It's very nice, but the phrasing of the melody bugs me. It think it's more to be different than a good choice musically.

  • Great stuff but next time turn down the gain. Way too much distortion.

  • @Fancyman99 (disregard that, it's more like 1:07)

  • @Fancyman99 "And the su-un!" I am also shocked at the seemingly utter disregard to the lyrics: The lead violin is playing simply the same thing over and over again and again, with no regard to how the words would actually be sung. My final complaint is that the ending isn't much.

Still, it's nice, if only as a new way of portraying the song.

  • @vegasediting I agree: In all the three official recordings of this by Genesis (Wind and Wuthering, Seconds Out and Three Sides Live), or on any bootlegs I have heard, it is never phrased this way: On Wind and Wuthering, the phrasing is quite standard, whereas on Three Sides Live (my personal favorite), it is all over the place, and the Seconds Out version is somewhere in the middle. Also, I'm disappointed at the lack of a harmony part where the lyrics are (on the Wind and Wuthering version)

  • Really nice. Lovely playing.

  • Phil looks like great cornhoolio Beavis.

  • This is totally a "Tony" song. It's always been.

  • I love this, but I almost wish the cello played the melody. The violin seems too bright for this piece. The cello has a more soulful, lyrical sound to it, I think. Still, very well done!

  • I'm hungry for Chinese food.
