a bit grainy in low light, but im viewing 1080p
this has better quality in light and low light then my sony dcr-hc38. i am going to sell it for one of these XD

A wise decision. The Zi8 certainly has it's limitations, but when you're using it as intended the video quality is surprisingly decent. (As intended = Shooting in daylight, or in macro mode at exactly the right distance from the subject)
