  • Nice! I remember hearing this album about 25 years ago. Could you add some more songs someday?

  • I'm going to add "Fox Face", that according to me is one of the best tracks in the album (well, the other one is "Bikini Atoll"!).

  • I'm adding some songs also from the other albums, I hope you like them. :)

  • Thanks for adding this! I always liked this song. A shame RCA never released this on CD.

  • as I recall this was the only song on the record she wrote by herself - no wonder it was the best song on the record

  • And one more thing, Bikini Atoll was an island near atomic bomb testing back in the 40's or 50's. I guess the United States thought "whats a few insignificant island people compared to protecting the greatest nation in the world". I love Grace even more for picking this island setting for a love story. The bomb going off at the end of the song says it all.

  • I agree with Jack. The best thing on the album, cause she wrote the whole deal.

    Haunting, sexy...I could go on.

  • the part that starts at 1:32 should have been repeated a 3rd time and the entire song should have lasted longer. the song is too short. i love this dreamy, eerie desolation song.

also, between 3:38 to 3:44 i absolutely love that sound after she sings "they just close their eyes..." loved it in 1984 and i still love it now.

  • @jacksontabacon True....for me, it was a retro sound...60's, ya know!!!!....still they didnt make her a rita coolidge or lita ford.... peter wolf ( uckk) produced it... a wreck.....she's a rocker, not a brian eno, gabriel synth pop- heroine....still I listen to it, for her voice, for her presence!!...retro...crown of creation

  • @lather68 LOL for sure. I paid $95 to have this put on a CD. Vinylsomething did it for me and mailed me the album which I already had with a primo CD. Must keep the collection up! And yes, this was The Song from the Cd that I play the most. Love this....

  • if you could add showdown it would be appreciated. I had the album but it got lost in a flood. I really liked that one

  • I always wished Grace had recorded with either John Cale or Brian Eno producing. Cale had both the classical and rock background that would've suited her voice and material. Eno had the sonic landscaping production. My only problem with "Software" was the cheesy '80's synth formula. Geez! Oh well. This is one of my favorite Grace vocals and songs. Thanks!

  • She's such a babe on the cover, here! In her 40's , too! Older women are hott!! and they rock!!!

  • This is her one solo album where they didn't try to make her into another Rita Coolidge or a punker- I don't think the record company had any idea what to do with this extremely talented woman! Her voice sounds great here- I still find it odd that Grace herself is so dismissive of this album. It was one of my favorites! My only criticism was that the production seemed unfinished somehow, maybe because most of it was programmed.

  • this is probably the best song on the album. all her 80s releases were excellent but she had more fame with starship/jeferson starship.

this brings back fond memories summer 1984.
