i'm so glad damon found a huge success in the us with gorillaz... he was very jealous of his then girlfriend justine because elastica was outselling blur. i mean, blur deserved a lot more success back in the early 90's but i guess blur's unique sound was "too british and poppy" for them, not guitar driven enough.
