he had a great top and not a small light lyric tenor but a nice lyric voice in his prime.

Araiza was a lighter lyric and so is Florez of course so hard to compare but Merritt had a great top while he lasted and a great high D flat in his 1987 Italian recital. HE sang the daughter aria twice as an encore and again since they loved it.

La edad??? Acaso con una buena técnica no se puede conservar una voz perfecta incluso con 60 años y mas???
