Although many of the toys that went on to become Transformers were launched before Macross started. The Diaclone range were designed at least in part by Shoji Kawamori and Kazutaka Miyatake, who were the lead designers and creators of Macross. So there's some Franchise Incest between the two (though not as much as with the various Brave series).

@devilhacker86 Brave didn't start until after G1 Transformers finished. It was what Bandai decided to to instead of G2/Beast Wars. Some leftover Brave designs got incorporated into later Transformers series.

I have never seen this before. Though I have never seen or heard of Macross Frontier. This is indeed an eye opener.

It can't hold itself up in carrier mode. Unbelievable. And they want $200 for this?! Maybe I might be inclined if it was roughly 1/2 the price, but at this price I really can't justify it at all.

that looks bad as fuck
I think you forgot to rotate the shoulder joints upward.
They are supposed to sit closer to the bridge in Battroid Mode.

Your videos lately have been annoying me because of all the stuff that happens off-camera. You used to notice that stuff and move the camera so we could see what you were doing and talking about. =\
As for the figure, it's pretty ridiculous. XD I like the concept of a giant carrier ship turning into a robot but it's not very complicated for something so huge, lol.

Yeah, I'm trying to get better about that. I've changed my review set-up and I'm still getting used to the new area. Brear with me, I'll get it all worked out soon.

I just see macross as a rip-off of Transformers. It is cool, but it's a definite rip-off.

Macross debuted in 1983, a full year before Transformers.
