Sampled for Cut Chemist's remix of Edan's Torture Chamber in 2005
By the time The Group (actually called Gruppo di Improvvisazione Nuova Consonanza) recorded this title for a subsid of RCA, they had been kicking around Rome for about six years
Under the direction of Franco Evangelisti, they recorded quite a few impressive albums of mostly avante-garde, and often psychedelic, improvisational music
For this recording, assisted by Ennio Morricone on a very flat trumpet, Bruno Battisti Da Mario on guitar and awesome studio drummer Renzo Restuccia, they pulled out all the stops and made one of the heaviest, break-beat laden pieces of pyschedelia Ive ever stumbled across

  • This is one cool Fuzzy psychedelic track

  • Grandioze!!! What a wide spectrum of music style, that Maestro Morricone did...

    Incredible...like Zappa

  • Actually the high-pitched lead screech sounds were played by the trombone player member of the group, John Heineman, using a specially adapted trombone mouthpiece. Thanks for the post.
